Pacific Education Management System Architecture Diagram
The following depicts a high level architecture of the Pacific EMIS. It is based on a modern architecture with a focus on interoperability with other systems if and when needed.
We believe in providing all the tools necessary centrally while also providing the freedom for stakeholders to go their own way all the while playing nicely with the national centralized system. A typical use case in countries would be tertiary institutions (or advanced high schools) already using their own Student Information Systems (and other tools.) We prefer not to impose on them a new tool. Instead, we take the approach of working with them on interoperability for the good of the nation. This is why we put a lot of effort into open standards and modern RESTful API design.
